My journey began with my own skin struggles. Throughout my teenage years and well into adulthood, I dealt with pimples, acne, large pores, and persistent blemishes. I know firsthand how deeply skin concerns can affect confidence, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing. Like so many of us, I followed the misguided trend of using harsh cleansers and aggressive treatments to punish my skin. Instead of healing, my skin became more irritated, inflamed, and imbalanced. The more oily it felt, the harder I scrubbed — only making things worse.

What I later learned is that stripping the skin of its natural oils forces it into survival mode. In an attempt to rebalance, the skin overproduces oil, leading to congestion, inflammation, and compromised barrier function. This natural oil barrier is essential — it locks in moisture and protects the skin from environmental stressors such as pollution, harsh weather, and air conditioning.

Years of this imbalance can result in dull, dehydrated skin with premature signs of ageing. When I finally returned to nature, everything changed. I fell in love with nourishing facial balms and deeply hydrating serums, rich in plant oils, botanical extracts, waxes, butters, essential oils, and hydrosols. Knowing my skin was absorbing healing, regenerative, and protective elements straight from nature was incredibly satisfying.

Within days, the visible transformation was remarkable — smoother, softer skin, a more even skin tone, reduced scarring and pore size, and a hydrated, dewy glow. My skin felt alive again.

Now, in my 50s, I can honestly say this is the first time in my life that I truly love my skin.
